Raleigh, North Carolina USA
The Raleigh, North Carolina plant has been in operation since 1982 and continues to be the only pharmaceutical L-amino acid manufacturer in the United States. The facility offers patented amino acid production technology, full capacity operations 24/7/365, secured supply lines and warehouse facilities, blending and pulverization services, complete analytical and technical support, and custom labeling and packaging. The plant produces individual amino acids as well as custom-blended amino acid mixtures.
Kawasaki, Japan
Since its establishment in 1914, when it began producing AJI-NO-MOTO (Monosodium Glutamate, MSG), the Kawasaki plant has served as the main production center of Ajinomoto Co., Inc. A wide variety of amino acids are manufactured at the Kawasaki plant.
Kyushu, Japan
Located in Saga, Ajinomoto's Kyushu plant manufactures a number of amino acids, nucleotides and seasonings.
Tokai, Japan
Located in Yokkaichi, the Tokai plant manufactures an extensive range of amino acids with applications in areas such as pharmaceuticals, foods and cosmetics. Seasonings, sweeteners, pharmaceuticals and industrial chemicals derived from amino acids are also produced at the plant.
Limeira, Brazil
At its plant in Limeira, Ajinomoto produces L-glutamine, the branched chain acids (L-isoleucine, L-valine and L-leucine), MSG and related seasonings, glutamic acid, sodium PCA and fertilizer. Lysine is manufactured at a plant located in Valparaiso, Brazil.
