Just prior to use, we recommend rapid thawing in a water bath at 25° C with gentle mixing.
Stability test is currently being performed. At this time, we have confirmed that no change in HPLC profile is detected after storage for nine months storage at 2° to 8° C, at -30° C, or at -80° C, respectively.
Direct addition to culture media is recommended. If pre-dilution is needed, PBS or mild acidic solutions (e.g. 100mM acetic acid) can also be used.
We confirmed that at least 0.5ng/mL could be quantitatively detected using a commercially available ELISA kit (e.g. R&D Systems, Inc., Cat# DG100).
Influence on media condition
IGF-1 is dissolved in c.300mM ammonium acetate, pH5.4. No effect on pH or osmolality of culture media should be expected because of large dilution in use (typically 1000 to 5000 times).
