Usage Information
Preparation
Just prior to use, we recommend rapid thawing in a water bath at 25° C with gentle
mixing.
Stability
Stability test is currently being performed. At this time, we have confirmed that
no change in HPLC profile is detected after storage for nine months storage at 2°
to 8° C, at -30° C, or at -80° C, respectively.
Media preparation
Direct addition to culture media is recommended. If pre-dilution is needed, PBS
or mild acidic solutions (e.g. 100mM acetic acid) can also be used.
Detection
We confirmed that at least 0.5ng/mL could be quantitatively detected using a commercially
available ELISA kit (e.g. R&D Systems, Inc., Cat# DG100).
Influence on media condition
IGF-1 is dissolved in c.300mM ammonium acetate, pH5.4. No effect on pH or osmolality
of culture media should be expected because of large dilution in use (typically
1000 to 5000 times).
